DroidPUAE - WIP03 16.12.2011 build available

Hi Folks,

a new build is available under this link. It brings the following:
- support for much higher device screen res in both portrait and landscape modes (up to 1280x800),
- support for taps/doubletaps on the touchpad in portrait mode,
- some mouse defect fixes,
- handling of scenarios when there are no config files found (instead of very informative black screen :))
- some code refactorings - inner guts, no visibility to the user, but for faster future work :).

In case we do not see each other soon - have a nice X-Mas and the happy 2012.

A new build for download, done @ AmiZaduszki 2011

There is a new build for download available. A changelog:
- config selector (just create your configs, name them like *_puae.cfg, and put them in the root of your SD card),
- mouse improvements - tap/doubletap to do a click/doubleclick, RMB button for right mouse click, hold longer (until it greys out) LMB or RMB button to start mouse button hold, do the same to unlock it (release a mouse button),
- fullscreen app now (so a bit more of screen space in landscape mode).

More improvements still on the way:
- dynamically attaching disk images
- enable sound
- some nice configuration front end

Have fun.

PS. greetings to all the people @ AmiZaduszki 2011.

Finally legal :)

Last week I finally collected some pieces that make me fully legal in my Amiga land explorations (and quite happy btw :)). I bought some nice items like WB3.1, Kickstarts 3.0 and 3.1 and AmiOS 3.5. Just to let you know you Amiga legal purists :).

Something to download

Fetch it here.

Requires Froyo (Android 2.2), more info inside the txt file in the archive. Please DO READ it! It is by no means a 'production' software, its a hack, but more or less works. I plan to spend some time on it during following weeks, but for now - just bare metal for your experimental pleasure.

DroidPUAE - first builds working

So I finally got PUAE running on my Android phone :). This was done in a quick and dirty way, just to see, that it is feasible. It is running quite nicely on my Motorola Defy (ARMv7, 800MHz), so I guess It would run even better on more powerful Android devices. How it differs from UAE4Droid?:
  • as in PUAE - support for hard disk and HDFs
  • as in PUAE - support for 68020+ and AGA
  • probably slower than UAE4Droid :)
  • and no sound for now :)
I got it up and running with preinstalled ClassicWB (Lite) (installed ClassicWB using WinUAE, then picked up the hdf file onto the phone). Some screenshots below:

I expect to post the .apk file soon once I cleanup all the GUI leftovers from DroidMac. Comments appreciated.
