DroidPUAE - WIP03 16.12.2011 build available

Hi Folks,

a new build is available under this link. It brings the following:
- support for much higher device screen res in both portrait and landscape modes (up to 1280x800),
- support for taps/doubletaps on the touchpad in portrait mode,
- some mouse defect fixes,
- handling of scenarios when there are no config files found (instead of very informative black screen :))
- some code refactorings - inner guts, no visibility to the user, but for faster future work :).

In case we do not see each other soon - have a nice X-Mas and the happy 2012.

  1. Anyone managed to get it to work with asus transformer? How did you edit your gamefile(ex swos_puae.cfg)?

  2. Thanx for the new build. Works in portrait on Galaxy Note, but crashes when trying to start in landscape. Adding keys from numpad to the input keyboard would come handy as some games require them.

  3. @Anonymous:
    Please try the following:
    - start in portrait
    - SettingsButton->GuiSettings->Orientation->Landscape
    - Quit the emulator (back or exit from Settings)
    - then turn the device from portrait to landscape
    - start the emulator.

There is here a design flaw of mine, that you can start the config selection screen in any mode (landscape or portrait), but the emulation itself you need to start in the exact mode you have set in Orientation setting (by default it is portrait). If you set it to landscape, but start holding the device in portrait - it will fail :/ But if you set it to landscape, and have you device in landscape (or set to portrait and hold device in portrait) - it shall work.

  5. Nice work on this! Have a quick question though...is it possible to mount more that one HDF hard disk file? I managed to get my DH0 hdf working, but cant seem to mount my DH1 at the same time.

  19. Since Android is based on Linux did you tried the code from old Linux console GP2X. I hope it'll be helpful.

  21. My Samsung Galaxy SIII has the sdcard mounted at /storage/extSdCard.
Any chance to release a build that doesn't have /mnt/sdcard hardcoded as path to sdcard?
I know I can make a symlink but I haven't rooted my phone yet. And I'm not planning to anytime soon. I just want a phone that works properly without messing it up too much.

  22. "No *_puae.cfg files found ..." Galaxy S CM10 compatible rom. Co robić ?

  23. apparently /mnt/sdcard is a symlink to /storage/sdcard0 which in turn is my phone's internal memory. So watch out. Just copy stuff to your phone internal memory in this case.
